led lights

Actually, probably one of the only real downers i can think about LED's setups is that if any of the LED's burn out, they can't be replaced, and if enough of them burn out, or weaken enough over time, you have to replace your whole unit...

Not the most ideal for plants, but Aqueon leds are modular meaning you can replace or change from a single to 3 separate led strips per unit in 4 different colors.

^ I guess being that i'm over in Asia, the brands and types of LED lights maybe differ a little, since most tend to be either cheaper China brands, or some obscure European brands (although not as many)...

Most of the brands lights over here you can't change out the bulbs in the units either... at least not that i've seen not that i've really looked too much into them...

Although with that being said, a lot of stores over here that specialize in plants have started to use more LED lighting setups, some use miniature flood light styled LED units, while others use the more standard over-hang units...

There are a one or two stores i've even seen use the ones that have natural daylight settings which have always intrigued me, but the price and size limitation has put me off till this day...
