One of my tanks always has some leeches. Probably from when i used to feed blackworms. I really didn’t care until they went to town on a sick fish yesterday. What fish eat them or what chemical treatments have people have success with?

Dog or cat de wormer works well for planaria and should kill leeches.

Is there a dosage you've used successfully in the past and if so, was there a brand or strength of product you're referring to? I've not heard of that but it does seem like a novel approach.

Copper based meds will kill them, but a lot of fish are sensitive to cooper and it will kill any snails or other invertebrates as well as plants.
I had some luck getting rid of them in small tanks just catching them out when I see them and dropping them in a cup of Coppersafe.
That may not work for most, or be feasible in larger tanks.
