Legal arowanas in the U.S.

Scleropages jardini = Australian Pearl Arowana AKA: Northern Spotted Barramundi or Jardini Arowana (Northern Australia and New Guinea)
Scleropages leichardti =Australian Spotted Arowana AKA: Spotted Barramundi or Saratoga (Northern Australia and New Guinea)
Osteoglossum ferrerai =Black arrowana (SouthAmerica)
Osteoglossum bicirrhosum =Silver arrwoana (South America)
Arapaima gigas =Arapaima AKA: Giant Arapaima or Pirarucu (South America)(Amazon basin)
Heterotis niloticus Heterotis AKA: African Arowana (River basins of Africa) -Anne

ah, thanks for the correction, i've never seen one for sale in person but hear about it so much on here especially from california folk i thought they were just legal
 
why are asian aros illegal? i dont know very much about any aros so i was just intrested in that

endangered species, captive bred specimens with an implanted chip are legal in most countries but not the U.S. because of the Endangered Species Act
