Legal Arowanas in USA

Looking to set up a new tank, wanted Arowanas problem is all the ones I really like are coming up as Asians and illegal. What breeds are legal here? Really do appreciate the help

If you like the look of asians you might consider a jardini or leichardti arowana but tankmates are hard to keep with them(lei would be your best chance). I really like the black arowana.

Please do some extensive research on these fish before running out a getting one.
