...at least, legal back in the day. My wife found these fading pics in a box from the attic. These are a few of the critters I had in San Diego back before disco. Missing are pics of my RBPs that were also legal along with my SHs and gars.
Anywho, here are some old fading pics of my caiman, asian aro, and albino diamondback rattler. The caiman had a price tag of $19.99. The asian aro was $14.99. And, the rattler was the most costly at $349.99.

That price was pretty stiff back then. Keep the era in mind. Back then, my 2 BR. 2-story townhouse on the beach in IB ran $280 a month. Gas was under 75 cents a gallon.

He was. But, I made out in the end. Had to sell him when they hit the 'no possession w/o license' list. Made over a grand on him selling him as adult breeder-size.
 
I remember seeing the caiman alligators for sale in the mid 80's but not since, I have a true black pacu as well and wish I could find another, they have the best personality of any fish I've owned
