Legal Issues In AUS?

My House!
So I live in AUS, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I would ring/email to find out what I can/can't keep? I've tried the Department of Inland Fisheries (I was told to ring D.I.F by lfs staff) and the guy I spoke to had no idea what species I was even on about. Does anyone know where I would ring to find out these things? I'm in TAS, and half the "legal" fish on the governments list aren't allowed down here, and I can't find a "Tassie specific" list.

Post Script: Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put it..
 
There might be a list of restricted species to be kept in Australia and maybe Tas.in the marketplace buy and sell section.

Lol,and nope he shouldn't mind you messaging him...I can't speak for him of course but I have pm'ed him in the past with questions about different fish and he was gracious enough to reply with his thoughts and opinions.
 
Awesome. I'll check out Aquanero's links first and see what I can find, and try to leave oddball as a last resort. Thanks heaps for the quick responses. :)
