Are Lego blocks really that sharp? I mean they are meant to be played by kids. I don't remember them being that sharp? I think Lego's in a tanks is a cool idea.;)

Good point

should be fine a fish wouldnt run into a sharp edge it watches out for that as for toxic.. dont think so:P

"Since 1963, Lego pieces have been manufactured from a strong, resilient plastic known as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). This tough plastic is also used extensively to make items such as automobile parts and building materials. ABS is still used today in the production of LEGO toys. In addition to the properties noted above, ABS is non-toxic, rustproof, heat-resistant, resistant to most organic acids and diluted inorganic acids, resistant to salt and animal oils and fats."

If one was concerned about sharp edges, maybe just use those Lego Duplo blocks (those big Legos for toddlers).

He mentioned using it with some convicts. I surely hope he's not going to keep convicts in a 3gal.

Oof yes stick to the Betta in a 3 gallon. I really don't see the edges of legos being a problem, unless they were kept with scaleless fish. However, your tank will look like it was decorated by a 7 year old.
