if you have trouble affording 60$ BEFORE the mustang wait or insurance, gas, car problems 60$ isnt anything when it comes to a car bud.

legos would work. i know a guy with a 750 and a 100 gallon sump, way over stocked and he uses shot gun shells. make sure you clean them well.

of course it sounds like you dont need them anyway, so if it isnt broke, why fix it?

i think they point he was trying to make was hes trying to not spend extra money. Why buy bio balls if something around the house will work

:headbang2I love mustangs. This picture is old, parking lot from back in HS a couple years ago, second is the driveway on Valentines day. I don't have anything else on my hard drive :grinno:

Massive derail, couldn't help it

There was a post on the DIY section that the person used scrubbie pads, bioballs and army men (off the top of my head) in his 3 tiered plastic drawer filter for the kiddie pool he set up for his RTC. I say go for it, it may not be the ideal media, but it is free and available for use...

Clean them up, find some rocks or lava rock and wash them in with the legos when rinsing them off, it's be an easy way to scuff up the surfaces of the legos and help catch and anchor the BB...
