i have an 8" lei in a 135g 72x18x24 with an oscar, 2 chinese perch and a fei feng. the lei is the only true surface feeder, but the other fish will occasionally come to the top to eat if they are really hungry. the lei is the longest fish in the tank, but the oscar is the beefiest and the greediest. anyway, the lei seems pretty skittish... sometimes he won't eat because he's afraid to go to the surface for food. he won't even go after a piece of food if another fish is looking at it. the weird thing is that i can sometimes hand feed the lei... perhaps he's bi-polar. when will the lei stop being a pansy and stop being skittish?

My Lei challanged 2 other 15" Pbass for food! He got about 6 scales knocked off him and still went back for more! I've pulled him out of the big tank before he gets eaten and put him in a 125.... ate 5 minutes after being swapped out! I guess some are more outgoing than others. (Oh, btw... he jumped out of the tank and net onto the concrete floor... flopped around on some wood before being thrown into his new tank..... still ate and is outgoing....)
