I just thought I would give you guys an update on my L. longibarbis. I've had this guy for about 8 months now, and WOW, what a growth rate on this guy. He seems to be slowing down now that he's getting close to the 15" mark.

He's been on a varied diet of market shrimp, Hikari pellets, haddock/pollock fillet, clams, shiners (limited), and the occasional small child. :D

The first pic is a few days after I bought him...the next pics are from last weekend. I also got the shots when he was near the same rock that is in the first pic just to show how big he got.

don't count on it slowing down till 18". Mine hit 18" FAST
 
Aw, I have one I just got last week. He isabout... 4" I bought two but one didnt make the long trip:(. They where sent to the wrong address:irked:

very nice! i have one waiting for me at my lfs but it had a slight case of ich so im gonna wait till thats all cured up before i take him home and let him play with my juruense cat
 
Thanks for all of the kind words.

Rally, I'll definitely keep an eye on the growth rate to 18". I would love it if he bulks up to 18 quick...then I would have an excuse to upgrade.:D
