Showing off my new favorite guy my Leiarius pictus (sailfin catfish) .. upon my adventures. If i come across fish stores of course i stop in! Well come to find this poor 18 inch sail fin in a 25 gallon tank... yes you read that right... crammed, beat up and looked utterly depressed. I was not leaving there without him, I didnt wanna cause a ruckus in the store so I just paid the nice penny for him and got him the hell outta there he is now happily in my 400 gallon and making friends and ate so much talapia today until his belly was nice and full. Glad to say he has his forever home :) welcome home buddy!

It's fantastic that you are providing a much better and bigger home for this beauty! I hope that he gets even more beautiful as he heals and eats.

You will not regret that purchase. They become the star of the tank very quickly. I’ve found them to be very sulky fish when moved it water quality issues. They have a strop and take weeks to settle after. (Personal experience) So don’t be surprised if it seems alittle dull for the first month or so.
