In the last picture you can see a slight bump on the mouth where his barbels extends. He's bumped up against the glass and it's a bit swollen. I hope it does heal itself fine. Appreciate if anyone has done anything or it should self heal? Thanks.

The injury would heal on its own, mostly. Just maintain the water temp and parameters. Adding aquarium salt is advisable.

This happens with many of arowana. My Asian aro keeps exploring the top of the aquarium, with his natural instinct of jumping out of the water to catch any insects. Many times I feel that the fish imagine the condensed water as an insect sitting there and try to catch it. Due to this, he gets small scratches on his head, mouth etc which heals on its own.

Thanks for the reply '76. Exactly, I think the Lei hits the eurobrace and cuts his front of mouth and creates a little swollen bump as seen in the last picture.

My water is naturally 83-84F due to the heat and water parameters is 0, 0 and nitrate never more than 10ppm. I have read the sticky thread on increased heat and salt before. How much salt per gallon do you typically use for these cuts? I'm more free to do so now that I have a plant free tank.
