I don't think they are true leucistic but rather a lighter phase FRT. I have a large one that was identical to that one little and still is lighter with blue "eye shadow" and yellow nails. If they are indeed |Leucistic then I am one lucky guy as I got mine for $350. They darken up with age but still stay lighter.

I can't say they are NOT leucistic but the pic looks just like mine when he was a baby. I got him from some dude up north that used to breed Ball Pythons but went out of business (forgot his business name). I traded 3 Panther Chameleons for it to meet his "asking price".

to each there own.. Me If i could, I would buy them... some people may call you crazy for spending 20k on a boat.. Come on Li.. we need update pics of these in your tank! get them!

If they're true leucistic let's consider this....

$500 is a 'normal' price for a regular FRT

IF.... and that's a big "IF"... you could breed these...

what would the young go for? Maybe $2000? You'd be caught up in cash pretty fast.

That said.... hell no I wont pay that much for a turtle! and I wish people would just keep regular softshells and leave these protected ones alone (although I'm sure folks here keep captive bred ones).

From what I know. no one can breed these. And FRT these days are 600-1000. And how many leucistic frt have your seen? I think they are super cool.

would love them but shipping makes the cost to much

If someone can afford to pay 20 grand for the turtles themselves, I don't think the added hundred dollars or so for shipping would really bother them.

4.5 inch pair. Beautiful. Perfect in every way. 5 Years old.

Asking $18,000

Will consider reasonable offers.

How can they be five years old and be only 4.5"? That doesn't seem right to me. He does say that he will consider reasonable offers! ;)

I agree that the turtle is pretty nice, but comparing to a boat? I rather buy the boat and throw party, hang out, time alone, fishing, so much more i can do with a boat.

This turtle what can i do? feed it, eat it? (i don't think it a good thing), sleep with it next to my bed?

Some of you are true spender, that cool. But to the average spender this turtle seem to be to much of nothing. Rare or not, special or no... Still a waste of $$$. None the less, it pretty cool.
