Lemon Fin Barbs

I keep them there not fussy about there water. They eat like pigs.. will eat just about anything. My ph range from 6.8 - 7.5. Barbs like good airation. My biggest is 17"

Nice fish. Id really like to get my hands on a few of those.

If I'm not mistaken I believe 12voltman has a bunch of little ones in a 150 he has, and used to have huge ones. I would send him a pm. He could probably help you out on specifics.

Yes they get big very fast. Mine got to 13 inches in around one year or so, my tank is a 300 gallon

Thanks, I had two others the same size as my big one. But lost them due to 5 hr power outage last year that happen over the night. I love these fish too my two smaller ones are about 10". I always keep an eye out for these. There not rare but not commonly available either.

I found a video on you tube once showing these barbs in the wild. They hang around Hippos and like to eat there poop! I guess cause its rich in plant matter. Mine love to eat lettuce. I used to feed all my plant clippings from my plant tank to the barbs. They would eat that up fast..

When I got them the first time I had some plants in the tank but they did not last for long, they eat them all... LOL. Over here in Malta they became cuite common now to find, but I would hate to loos one of mine and start over again

I have 12 tin foils @ 2" now.
