U.K.
i have a 180 gallon, 6 x 2 x 2, with 2 lemon-fin barbs at 13 and 15 inches,1 mozambique mouth brooder at 11 inches, and a 5 inch rainbow shark we just 'inherited'. is this tank fully stocked? i know the lemon-fins arent fully grown yet, but they do only have another couple of inches. just wondering if it was fully stocked or not, im still going through a mini-cycle at the moment so i have no plans to add anything else. if there was room left, what would you guys add to this tank. no plecos, i find them pointless poop machines. thanks.

I think you could add some more fish if you wanted to add some more variety but I wouldnt go Fish Crazy. Ive never heard of Lemon Fin Barbs they must look GORGEOUS. Please post a pic I really want to see one!

to be honest i think il just be leaving it as these 3 with the little rainbow, they are very rough and i figure il have to be adding more big fish if i do as i dont want smaller ones getting hurt, so these will have the 180 all to themselves. they are healing up at the moment, they were in with a ton of brightly coloured chiclids i think they were called, and they had eaten away large portions of the lower tails and fins whenever the big guys stopped by the rock they were claiming as their own, then when they were being caught they got pretty bashed up with the thrashing and jumping in the tank of rocks they were in. one has lost a piece of its top fin which it lost when it hit the bracer bar of the shop tank, all of their fins were torn up but are healing ok now. they are slowly recovering, they have lost a fair few scales too. the mouth brooder on the other hand is fine, though i rarely see him eat anything. hes very energetic though, and seems to love digging holes in the gravel, piling it up in other places then sitting on the bare bottom patch he creates :screwy: its an incredibly active tank,so much moreso than i expected :)

to be honest, i think the mouth brooder is looking to 'remove' the rainbow shark! i did tell the previous owner of this very old fish that she would more than likely be eaten, but she didnt want it and was going to flush it! its around 4-5 years old, had never had its water changed, was topped up with cold tap water straight from the tap, and wasnt fed more than once a month!

those 2 are real beauties,i hope these 2 reach that long. i do wonder what type of tank they were in as im hoping that they havent been stunted at any stage. did you feed your guys anything different as treats? im hoping, everything crossed here, that their fins grow back, they are so tatty compared to your 2 in that picture.
