If you do choose to sell the 'shark' you could get an eel, polys, cats, knives and possibly some sorta NICE pleco but only choose one or two if you do manage to get rid of the shark =D

those 2 are real beauties,i hope these 2 reach that long. i do wonder what type of tank they were in as im hoping that they havent been stunted at any stage. did you feed your guys anything different as treats? im hoping, everything crossed here, that their fins grow back, they are so tatty compared to your 2 in that picture.

the scales will grow back in, but they might not be as reflective as the original scales. I would think that they will recover.

I don't have the big ones anymore (had to sell the tank when I moved) but I do have 4 small ones I am growing up in my new 150 gallon tank. yours could eat them LOL:

I used to feed my big guys Tetra Cichlid sticks, wardley shrimp pellets and tetra colour bits. my little ones are eating the same and growing fast..

yours will recover fine and look great. they already look amazing.

love the red hooks, your fish look so healthy. i wish mine did, their fins are healing, just very slowly, and i think their scales are re-growing but cant quite tell yet. i have never seen any lemon-fins for sale where we are, in any of the fish stores, even babies. i guess they are classed as the tank busters, and most wont stock big fish like that, my local one had a display with pics and names of fish, and tanks sizes related to different cars/vans in the pics as to what they would need to be housed in. my 2 came in from a private rehoming, along with a beautiful i would say coming up 1.5-2 foot long ornate bichir, hes gorgeous and been in for weeks now, would love him but dont have the £70 they want for him! plus i think my tanks going to stay stocked as it is, i like that they have plenty of room to swim and they are very very active altogether.

just a quick question 12 volt man, did yours ever 'croak' when eating, when my 2 get real excited and start bolting up and down to the top of the tank i hear a crunching croaking sound as they open and close their mouths, at first i thought it was the tank creaking on the stand, but no, i sat and watched and each croak was in time with them opening their mouths, then i thought maybe its the hard crunchy pellets grinding on each other, so i soaked a couple til soft and gave them some just to see, and they still crunched and croaked. its almost like the sound of someone grinding their teeth!

you should invest in that bichir. Very nice fish, good personality and grow large enough not to be eaten =D
