Lemon Juice Question?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, as long as this doesn't go further off track we'll leave it open, I just don't want to have to clean up a mess.

interesting thread... but i would just keep said fish in what ever comes out of the tap...

dont know for fish and water but Lemon juice and watermelon are the two most alkaline foods a human can possibly eat. Yes they are acid foods but they make your body very alkaline wich is very good for you the body needs to me alkaline and all cancer patients have acid bodies. Alkalinity raises your immune system very high.

Your 'theoretical' tank is theoretically overstocked ;) (I theorized that the fish were all of a large variety, especially the 17" pleco).

The buffering capacity of your "award winning" (and meaning 'stable') water will cause the pH restabilise to the original value.

The pH swings that you create from this attempt will be harmful to the fish.

(Not mentioning the impurities nor varying acidity levels here).

Run the filtered water thru peat to slowly lower the pH.

A stable pH is more important than a spot on pH.

Now go make some lemonade and sit back and enjoy the fish (theoretically).

Good question tho.

.

agree.......... stable hence well buffered so it doesnt swing
