when u get multiple in a tank together r u growing them up together? or just bought them big and had good luck with no aggression?
Nothing over 5-6 inches. Usually smaller. I always introduce them with other types of cichlids into a new setup so their aggro isn't focused on eachother.its_an_obsession;2342101; said:when u get multiple in a tank together r u growing them up together? or just bought them big and had good luck with no aggression?

Regarding the body striation on males; I noticed that they were most pronounced between the 6"-12" size but pretty much disapeared after this. It is a reliable indicator of sex but seems to go away as the fish completely matures.
