You probably right Krich.
I could be wrong but it just does not look like a lei to me.It has nice markings but no spots on it's scales which are typical of leichardti.

I figure no markings on the gills and the red spots on the tail.....thought it was a lei.

Def a jar. Dark olive back and tail markings are what makes me think so. I've had several jars and two leis. Leis have a different head shape and lighter color.

He does show some spotting on the scales just hard to get a decent picture of him on my crappy camera phone and with him being in a dark tank. This tank barely has any light on it just one small led panel that you can see above the silver in the one picture, and just relies on the ambient store lights for the most part.
