Damn dude, good luck. Learning experience but seriously you should section off a part of the tank they are born in or add a breeder sized tank to the same water and filtration. only way to move delicate pups. GL

i agree thats what i am going to do next time

for now i will just leave the divider up and the pup seperated from the adults
and just let the female out once and if she has another pup
i have a pup from the previous litter in there now

Wow..........very nice.
happy 4 u N your rays.:grinno:

i found the pups done better if left with the adults

i found if i took them out of the main tank and placed them in a smaller tank it would smell real bad after 12hr of the pup being in the small tank

i was think of setting up a tank next to the main tank that was filtered of the main tank of an extention of the sump this way their is no change in water parameters when you move the pups

sorry for the loss

Sigh, sad day.

I have no experience with Leos but the motoro and Henlei pups that I have bred do not move out of the pond where the adults are. I separate out using a cage with fine nettings. Only when they are feeding well on live feeders and are active is when they are put in a different pond.
I find that the smaller the ray the more susceptible it is to water chemistry changes.

There will be a next time. Keep up the good work.
