leopard climbing perch

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a smaller one, probably around 3" in one of my tanks. Will pretty much eat anything I've noticed (other then algae wafers).

Absolutely loooves live food. I'll buy around 24 ghost shrimp and they'll all be gone in a few days. It's very friendly. It does hang out around the back of the tank behind the heater, but when it sees you coming it'll swim to the front of the tank because it knows it'll get fed :)

mine is about a foot long now, it was already about 9" when i got it at the store for $25

I doubt it's Ctenopoma acutirostre...the biggest I've seen is about 6"...and even that's a bigun.

These are great mini-monsters. I keep them in my dat growout tanks. Great little ambush predators. I've had luck with feeding them bloodworms, blackworms, krill, mysis shrimp, and feeder convicts/guppies.

They are not very active, but when compared to my nandus and little dats...they are VERY active. They do come out when they know it's feeding time.

Highly recommended...post some pics!! :D

I love these fish!!!But everytime i had one he always got picked on and wouldnt eat(the toughest fish i ever had in with it was a Severum). If i could find 1 i would keep it in a tank by itself this time!!!

i have a couple that are about 4 or 5 yrs old and are great to watch and care for. They eat anything, i will sometimes feed them earth worms i find in the yard. i have them in a 35 hexagon with a big log in the middle that they cling to.
