Leopard ctenopoma???

They are great fish, I had one a while back but the damn thing had some kind of accident with my filter and broke its back had to be euthanized

Anywho, it probably wouldn't do well with Silver Dollars or Cichlids, because they aren't fast enough to compete for food. They swim with their pectoral fins and are stalking predators, so they take a long time to even approach their food. Mine used to get outcompeted by my Loaches. And you really shouldn't keep more than one, they are Anabantoids... same family as Bettas and Gouramis... so they are pretty agressive towards eachother.

Thanks for the good info AJ(Finally... lol just kiddin') in all seriousness, I have decided to hold off on the leopard ctenopoma for now until I get a 90-125 then when I do he can share his tank with smaller community fish!

I really miss mine...I had three individuals and they all caught a bad guppy batch and died after 2 years...awesome fish though...they are relatively stagnant in the water and usually won't eat anything but live foods (which is a pain) but enjoyment wise...they are pretty fun to watch float around...

I had one that was really docile untill he reached the 4-5" mark, after that he was attacking my NGT datnoid and stressing him out so I traded him in. Other thanthat he was a great fish and would eat shrimp and massivore without a problem.

I got 6 of them in with my ebjds and a few mollys, Molly fry don't last.

They eat pellets and flake food, are sometimes aggressive to each other but leave any other fish alone.

I like how the hover around the tank.
