Been wanting a LG for a few years now, and my LPS has some PERFECT little babies in. Hand tame, feeding well and they look amazing.
$35 sounds good to me, what do you guys think?

Also, let me know if this is a good list of supplies:
15G(almost a 20, just not as tall?) Tank w/ screen lid
2 hides, maybe a piece of driftwood or some branches to climb on and some fake plants to make the cage look nice.
2 pieces of repti-carpet( I HATE sand)
calci dish and calcium
shallow water dish
food dish
heat lamp and fixture
And probably a little critter keeper to keep crickets in.
Is a UTH absolutely needed?

I'm probably forgetting stuff...
I'm going to read some more care sheets and keep them handy, "refresher course"

But yeah, what do you guys think of my list?

$35 isn't a bad price. If you lived closer I'd give you one for free, lol. A 15 gallon is alright for one, but a 20 gallon long is better.

Well, the shop owner is cutting me a deal on the 15G, it's brand new and he's throwing in a new screen top with locks. a new screen top is $16 here!

I can upgrade later on of course but I'm not one to pass up a deal.
And, I can use the 15G for something else later on like an axolotl or pacman:drool:

The owner of the shop is a really nice guy, when I was helping my sister set-up a 5g for a betta he gave us a free air pump+tubing, substrate, plastic plants, and free tetras. :headbang2

I'd definitely take a free leopard gecko!
If you could ship it I would pay for shipping.

So my list is alright?

your list is alright but a UTH would be better than the light fixture as the geckos will appreciate the belly heat more

I'll pic up a UTH, a one for a tank this size wont cost much so why not.
It's my understanding that LG's can stand nightime temps of up to 65F at night, and my room stays warmer than that at night, especially now that it's summer. Would I be fine with just using the heat lamp in the day and turning it off at night until I can get a UTH?

I use an UTH and a Ceramic Heat Emitter on both my leopard gecko tanks. But they're bigger with one being a 20 gallon long and the other a 50 gallon breeder. Try the UTH and see how warm it keeps the tank. You might have to purchase a small CHE to get it warm enough. It would also be a good idea to pick up a digital heat probe.

Alright cool.
I'm buying the tank and repti-carpet and some other stuff tomorrow and setting it all up and seeing what my temps are before getting the gecko of course.
You can get CHE's at Home Depot can't you? I think I remember seeing them there.

also, if i use a red-spectrum bulb, I can leave it on 24/7, right?

Agreed both a lamp and a UTH would be good. Also I wouldn't use the carpet, if you don't want to use sand you have a few other options. You could do the cheap route and use paper towel. Easier to clean, just throw it away when it's dirty. You could do sand stone which looks cool and almost like their natural environment. Or you could go with tile, which is good for transferring heat across the floor.
