Leopard Puffer tank mates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not a bud, I'm female. How do you know for sure where they were caught? They can live in FW as juvies but must be transitioned to BW for long-term. Many BW species start out in FW & move out through estuarine rivers into SW, as they mature.

yes i know that but gs puffers grow in every sing;e water enviroment...
fresh brackish and salt and they do just as good....
now trustin a lfs on where they came from is the trick but if u ordder offline u can often find them from fw...
sri lanka has diverse waters fresh brackish to salt and the puffers are found in every section soooooooo depending on what section they are found they are to b kept,
u can always aclimate them to brack salt or fresh, slowly

trustin a lfs--is the trick. I wouldn't trust any of them about their source... they have no idea. Online sources are no better. Most ofthem don't even get their name right. It has been proven by long-term green spotted puffer keepers, what the best conditions it is to keep them in for their healthiest life.

Check out my website (below), for more info.

Yep--tons of mis-information out there. Most shops will push keeping them in FW, to make it easier to sell more of them. I have a lFS that sells juvie dogface puffers in BW, for the same reason. Show me a link to a story where one has been kept successfully into their teens in FW.

After further reading of the link you provided:
Like most brackish water fish, it can be acclimated to a full saltwater environment. Some hobbyists believe this is the best environment for it as it matures.
Point made, thanks!

yea maybe... but i kno for a fact they live in either of the 3...
anyway
i was aruging about the wrong fish..
and i apologize i didnt keep the green spots i kept the amazon bumble bees..
its been a while 3 yrs!!!
but if u already have a gs then its probably best to raisse them in bw,
but if ur keepin it fw get a amzon bumble bee puffer an get rid of the gsp

OMG... :irked:

You just wasted an hour of my time. I could have been helping someone else.
