Hi,

That's not true, sorry!
David Hinz has quit keeping rays about at least one year ago and Peter Lutz has quit it about 3 or 4 years already! Both of the did breed leos, thats true, but do not have only one ray at the moment :D

I am from germany and I do only know 7 serious breeders (TP, TG, JK, MD, BZ, TK, MG) here in germany, who really breed pure blooded leopoldis! And be carefull, not to mix up breeders with guys, who only buy and sell rays, as already happend in this thread ;)

Regards
Stefan

Yes Michael H does not breed rays he is a seller and shipper from what I know.

is dr. ross a member on MFK?

I know for a fact he is on one of the other boards, somebody posted some pics from his house. He has some trmendous tanks.

What is the definition of Serious Breeders? Most are just hobbist having not more than 10 pieces of rays. For me, I will classify serious breeders as having at least 30 pieces of big rays.

Someone mentioned asia breed tons of hybrid , I have been breeding rays and I know many breeders in Thai also, I have not seen tons yet, and not in the near future either I think. From my observation, at least 50% of the pups will die between birth and after they reach hands of hobbists either local or overseas.

Well, I thought about it and what I wanted to say with serious breeders was, that I am sure about them, that they breed those rays. But this has nothing to do with the seriousness, they breed. I am sorry, my english can still be improved :irked:

And concerning the tons of hybrids. There seem to produced really a lot of Motoro Hybrids all over asia or at least thailand and malaysia. Cause they are sold for relativly low prices there, am I wrong?

Those Hybrids I mean, for example, look like those:

Silvester Hybriden 015.JPG

most hybrids are with motoro/pearl male / ?????? motoro/pearl males seam to breed with anything :D

i have nothing against hybrid rays but we need to be careful or we will lose the pure breeds

breeding rays is not that hard just good water and food and it will happen some rays take longer than other but it will happen

its mad to tell the truth the amount of ray pups that were exported from brazil in the past their should be millions of adult rays breeding what happened to them all
