Seems like I have to wait a bit more to "get stinged".
In Portugal we are still in the dark ages in ray keeping and the market is tiny.
Every other month an import with one or two rays comes in. Usually retics, motoros or "castexi complex". Once in a while marbles or hystrix. The same LFS (owned by a nice and serious guy) that imported this one was able to bring a pair of pearls a few months ago. But that's it.
So, when something different arrives...the temptation is big.
I set my mind to get a pair of blackies in the near future so
your info saved me some money and a big future disapointment. I appreciate it.
In time I'll get the rays I want. In time...

If the lfs imported from holland so can you

Almost true. Has to be a LFS or someone with a comercial license on the animal business in order to clear the package in the airport due to veterinarian regulations.
Easily feasibke through a LFS.
Shipping cost is high, though (around 400-500 € - 600-750 usd)

No it's the same in the UK anyone can apply for a licence to import
In the UK it's free and you can get it within one week

If it has to be a shop then find the rays yourself in Germany holland the US maybe to far to ship then go into the shop that has this ray and get them to import I'm sure they will be interested in good rays if this is what they are getting sold as Leo

If you want something bad enough love will find a way
