  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here in Winnipeg (Manitoba), a great lead would be to contact Ewing at Fish Gallery (http://www.fishgallery.ca/. He got a male/female pair in a few months back. I don't know if he will part with the pair but I beleive he can get more.

actually this is mike, from fish gallery...i'm the one that caught you those stingrays you got from our store remember

check the closest BA?

sounds like the edmonton big al's has been getting leos lately.
i could only speculate the price/quality.

Hi Mike. I guess I didn't recognise your username [or picture :)]. Sorry for the less than usefull advice.
BTW, My retic didn't make it but I now have a hystrix buddy for my motoro. The are eating like pigs. Things are looking up (including the food bills).
Later,
Scott

thats great to hear! did you pick up the hystrix from kurt? i picked one of those up and it eats like a pig. what do you feed your rays? i'm glad to hear the motoro is doing good, i told you at the time you were buying them that retics are a little tough, sorry to hear the loss. i talked to yewing about the leopoldi's but he wants way too much. so i want to try and get my hands on a pair myself

Yup, the hystrix is from Kurt. He was feeding them bloodworms but I found that way tooo messy.
Both my motoro and hystrix are eating nightcrawlers exclusively. However, yesterday I picked up a bag up "Seafood Medley" from Superstore. For $3.99 you get a 340g bag of raw octopus, raw squid, cooked shrimp, cooked clams, and mussels. This is much cheaper than live nightwcrawlers and seems to be a more well-rounded diet.
Last night I chopped up a few of the "Medley" peices and mixed them up with a chopped up night crawler. I mixed them around to get the worm juices all over the medley pieces. The result is very promising. The Motoro chowed down on the medley like they were candy. The hystrix was less accepting but was trying the peices in an attempt to find the worm pieces.
I will try again tonight.

ive been feeding my trio of rays just shrimp from superstore and nightcrawlers, thanks for the tip i'll swing by the grocery store and pick some up and try, where do you get your nightcrawlers from? i'm running low and nobody in town has any that i know of

I feel silly saying this but...Fish Gallery stocks nightcrawlers. Ewing assured me that he will always stock them as he has too many customers with stingrays not too. His "secret supplier" allows him to always have stock.
Other than that - I don't think that anyone in town has them.
