Lepidos spawn today

I don't add salt, the source of my water (although with treatment, pH drops alittle)is Lake Michigan, its chemistry components are very similar to the African rift lakes. Lake Michigan straight has a pH of approx 8.4, out of the tap it arrives at 7.6 give or take, and an alkalinity of 100ppm and hardness of 250 grains.
 
I distributed the fry to those who wanted them (from Iowa - New Jersey), a member here got some, and I believe the ones I sent him have now spawned.
They were like the ones below when I sent them out.


After their 3rd spawn, the male killed his mate, and took a suicidal leap.
