Lepidota fry this morning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I suspected THIS spawn....I have 7 of them in a 100 gallon 6 foot tank, and a big male was keeping 5 of the other fish to one end of the tank, and then scooting back to guard a big chunk of driftwood....I finally couldn't restrain myself any longer and shifted the driftwood slightly revealing the female who's holed up in a cave in the driftwood with her eggs...I'll take some pictures if/when they hatch...David

I'm currently running about 2000 gallons spread over 42 tanks(not all pikes-I also keep several species of L#)
I'm currently keeping:

C. lacustris
C. marmorata
C. frenata
C. notophthalmus
C. regani(sadly I have no males)
C. lenticulata
C. semifasciatus
C. lepidota
C. strigata
C. atabapo red
C. jaguarensis
C. gaucho
and a couple "odds and ends" <---species I have only one fish of, or that I can't identify for sure...
gee, it make's me look kindof nuts when I see it typed out like that :nilly: David

they've got some growing to do...could turn into something....Oliver got a whole bunch of different species in at once and the price was right, so I figured I'd grab a pair mainly because i hadn't seen many pics either, other than pictures of preserved dead one's...David
p.s. the semifasciatus eggs started hatching into wigglers earlier this evening before I went to work ;)
