They are normally sold as Golden Sharks or Maroon sharks, I had 2 which grew very fast to over 15", and they finally jumped out of my backyard pond and died. I just bought 3 small ones also for $4 a piece, very peaceful fish, easy to keep with other large fish. They love mealworms, and koi pellets, that along with good aeration and large daily water changes, makes them grow at a superfast rate. And they dig up the bottom like goldfish do!

Thanks for the tips:headbang2

I have about 12 of them in a 55 gallon tank. I bought them about 6-7 months ago. The biggest one is only less than 6 inches and I bought them at around 4 inches. In my situation, I say the growth has been really really slow.
