well...i got a pair in my pond. They are spectacular adults. Will eat almost anything.

Where do you get them from?

I got mine at Pet Supermarket, $3.99. I don't think they stock them regularly, but your LFS ought to be able to get them. For me they're sort of a "cooler" alternative to tinfoil barbs, similar in many ways but they don't overshadow everything else the way the deep bodied lemons and tinfoils do.

yeah my one specimen is a foot long or more now, very peacful with the other big barbs and big Characins. He is a very interesting addition to the monster fish collection

I have about 13 of these Sultan fish/Mad Barb/Cigar Barb. These are very nice fish. They can grow to an impressive size and are very hardy.

i had manny in the past, there great schooling fish but had to get rid of them i could never get any food down to the cats no matter how much i threw in.
