I know that there is a lot more to building your own tank,but to get to the short of it,you build the frame from wood and 2x4''s,epoxy the inside and bottom,buy the glass and silicone it in.I know that there probably is alot more to it than this,but is this about right???

Guiness how long did it take to build your tank??And how did you get the liner to stick snugly to your frame???

The pond liner was cut to shape and the seams were sealed together. But I decided that I didn't like it because it wasn't perfectly done and I just didn't feel that it was right, so I tore it out and put 6 coats of epoxy on it.
I think I've been working on it for about 8 months now. I've had lots of set backs and am learning as I go. I also work on it as I can afford it.

It does sound easy when someone who knows what they are doing gives you directions, when you are as mechanically inclines as a brick like I am, then it is SO not easy.
