Hey guys as I posted on the breeding thread yesterday, I am looking to get into breeding as a hobby. Many of my concerns are finding people who are willing to pay the fish so I don't get over ran with fry. Also wanting to learn how to breed a fish that has a purpose so I can learn and correct what I am doing wrong before trying to breed more expensive fish. That being said would anyone be interested in me breeding fish as feeder fish on this forums? I have not seen anyone doing this yet, but have only been on the forums for about a day now and tried searching it to the best of my ability.
Now if you are interest or possibly think is worth my time instead of breeding something like jewels, endlers, or many of the other fish suggested to me in my breeding post. I would like to know which fish do many of you purchase. I will not be doing gold fish, I feel like I do not even have to explain this one. I know there are tons of other species/fish like convicts, mollies, ect... Please give me any feedback on this idea as I would like to get into breeding with easier fish they others can benefit off. Almost as a way of repaying your guys for helping me understand breeding and helping with many problems that may come up.
Ideas that I have already thought of is documenting the fish I will be selling so everybody knows what has been done and the care they have been given. I would like to find people interested in the fish before hand but do not want them to back on me for their feeder supply, as I stated I am new to breeding and anything could happen with a newbie like me at the start.
Some information about me: I am 20 years old and have always wanted to get into this type of hobby but have never really had the money for it. I am currently going to college, but commute from my home. This will allow me to speed plenty of time with the fish to do correct water changes and documenting everything. Lastly, I am a new at this so I am here to learn from the masters while I am here.
I would like to thank you in advance!
Hutch
