I was under the impression that they had physically moved a set of excited electrons, as in moving something with "memory" and the excited state being considered a "1" or "on"
however if there is no articles supporting that i must have misinterpreted the report.
I don't see how moving a photon can be considered teleporting, since they have no physical presence.
The act of moving them surely would be limited by the latency of which the machinery needed. So the academic part of the experiment was to make the machine move fast enough, BUT, if it could move fast enough then we'd already be at the quantum level.
...This whole thing has suddenly perplexed me greatly.
