lol I know exactly how that feels, I think I told this before when I was in my speech class and we had to introuduce ourselves where we work hobbies and etc... and I said fish is my hobby, then my teacher goes what's your biggest fish? "12ish inch Arowana" (more like my bf's but we share fish so neh. ) he goes "MARAJUANA, you have a foot long MARAJUANA" I was like... "no A - ARO - WANA ...." needless to say the entire class cracked up and I am now made fun of alot for that and my fish hobby. whee
 
its a shame more ppl dont appreciate the hobby- member zorro was the SAME way until i made him get a tank of community fish (20high) nows hes got a 55 with mota and all

better then a motorcycle..... hmm I dunno Motorcycles are pretty addicting, nice and soothing and help if you go for a nice ride. >__> Thats a close one!
 
arghhhh, i really really want a motorcycle :drool:. More than any fish right now atleast. :)
 
I admit that I say some of the names wrong but without hearing someone saying it it is often pretty hard to know how to prononce it. I mean, how many people do you know in person who know latin fish names? I don't know any, I know them myself but saying them is a bit more difficult.

One thing I HATE beyond hate is when people see anemone fish and call them "Nemo-fish", this bothers the crap outta me. One time at the LFS they had a large oscar for sale, pretty big guy to. A couple of people were looking at it and were talking about how stupid it looked (it was sulking in the top corner) and sitting there making fun of it and pretending to be the fish and saying dumb things. Then one person wondered what kind of fish it was, there was a tag on the tank for a plecostomus...they came to the conclusion that the oscar was a plecostomus.

oh man i heard that today
i was cleaning one of our salt tanks at were i work and a little kid comes buy with his dad and the kid was like, "look daddy its a nemo fish!". because of this i hate that movie now :swear:

i pitty monster oscars in lfs. Some how they end up in the worst of conditions.
