Mine came in about that size...solid black colors and all. Fortunately, it was only a few days before they started packing on size.

No pictures? I want to see what they look like at that size, if they have spotting like a pictus or dark like and ornate pim...

well what i do is, I soak the pellets in the worms for a couple minutes before giving it to them. That makes the pellets smell like worms and also softens it up.

If it is hard, they will eat it and spit it back out. But if its nice and soft they will swallow it.

Sorry man, no pics of them at that size. I'll get some pics of my guys this week though, no worries. They're growing like weeds and should be in with my cichla in no time! I'm feeding a diet of 100% blackworms for the first few weeks to let them put on size. I'll get them onto shrimp and pellets when they hit the 5-6" mark.
