In a 10g tank w/wife n kids
Ok here we go, controversy or not. My Walmart stocks some killer fishes, well not killer in the sense of /V\onsters but killer in the way of some serious nice, HEALTHY stock. I've read some bad Walmart fish stories here but my local Walmart was able to order the exact fish I was looking for when my lfs didn't even know what I was talking about. So anyway, here is my Walmart fish, got him early 2008. He is currently around 11" long. Got him when he was an inch long and I wasn't 100% sure if it was a jag or not, still a rookie.

Wowzers!!! Very nice!

I love Wal-Mart for many reasons... you must have a great staff at your Wally, I didn't even realize you could special order stuff.. crazy nights!!!!

He's beautiful :) Maybe their standards are going up, I know a lot of big stores who normally get bad rep are improving

i believe you 100% since my walmart is very good to

Not sure why would you wanna classify your fish from Walmart

it really depends on the walmart. Most walmarts I have seen have very poor selection/quality, especially now that they are doing those tanks with the printed gravel bottoms. Anyways, my walmart fish:

saw a tiny little gold severum in the "assorted cichlid" tank. he was getting beat up really bad by his tank mates, and was horribly tore up. The store gave me 50% off on him. After a few weeks, he started getting color on him.

Thanks. I spoke to the lady who orders the fishes and simply asked her if she could put this in her order.

They did a total remodel lately and the fish section did shrink since I last bought this jag but they replaced all their tanks.

Only because I've read a bunch of bad Walmart fish threads.

Wow, nice. Discount to.:headbang2

1. i didn't know you could order fish at walmart, not sure why i would though consider i could ordering them myself on-line

2. how do you even find anyone to help you at walmart? i've only once seen someone in the aquatic section. if i ever wanted something, i'd probably bag it myself

3. Congratulations, it looks nice but i'm sure alot of fish would look nice if you took them away from their bad tank and got them in a good tank and took a pic 3 years later lol
