I cant show my bike without telling the story behind it so here it goes.

this bike belonged to my brother-in-law eddie dupre who was tragically killed in a boating accident on june 6th 2008.

at his funeral we decided that the least we could do is pick a date and have one more ride for him. the next day we got together and decided to put on a poker run for him. for those of you that dont know what a poker run is it is bassically a benefit put on by motorcyclist where you pay a dessignated ammount to enter and you ride your bikes from one designation to a nother picking up a card at each loction toanother.at the end who ever has the best hand wins.
One thing lead to another and before we new it we were working constantly on this poker run and it grew beyond our belief.
At the end we ended up with 489 motorcycles(not including passengers)regestered. looking out in the feild at all the motorcycles just blew our minds. we were proud of what we had done for eddie and were able to help my sister and her 3 kids finantially in the end. we all cryed like babys( like i am now telling the story).

Dont feel sorry for me, feel sorry for my sister and her 3 kids.

R.I.P. SPECIAL EDD (December 1st 1968- June 6th 2008)

PSS I bought the motorcycle from my sister

This is my 1983 Yamaha XJ Maxim 650.

I picked this thing up for $2000 CDN, and its in collectible condition! No rust, dents, scuffs or anything. Only a small paint chip on the underside of the gas tank that you dont even see unless your on all fours looking up at the bike. I bought this bike off the original owner. He was an old German guy that never rode the thing. He only put on 10,740km in 24 years! lol.

Even though this bike is rare (for the condition) I still enjoy riding it. Nothing beats the feeling of flying! Wind blowing against you, bugs splattering off your helmet, grasshoppers getting stuck in your beard... err... hmm... never mind. :screwy:

Well here she is!
