The feeding issues are easily solved by dropping pellets first. Only a few of my discus eat them and the geos chase them down as they sink, allowing the other discus plenty of time to eat the frozen food when it goes in. The extra clean water and extra food has also gotten me unprecedented (for me) growth in size and trailers for the geos. And their colors are better than any of the photos can show.
What makes me happiest is the look of the wilds and the orangeheads. The striations in the blues pretty much exactly match the orangehead tails. It's a perfect blend. If I start working more I may try to add a few of the super blue nhamunda heckels as well. Then downstairs I'm considering getting some greens, which might go nicely with the Abalios. To do that I'd have to get rid of the Uaru, but I am starting to think I should do that anyway since they are starting to get kind of mean to the other fish. Then again, part of the reason they're getting mean is that I think I have a pair... so I may want to ride that adventure out for a while...
