Picked up some G. araguari yesterday to complete my tank.

Full tank, had to fully replace all of my driftwood after catching the fish, which ended up being a puzzle piece.

The three of them, still not fully settled, as you can see they're not really showing their orange heads yet, just slight hints of it.

Left and Right are Males I believe.

Males (?), these were the two most sub-dominant, wasn't allowed to take the breeders single dominant male from the batch as he was keeping it for himself, was a stunning fish.

Female (?)

Is that the scientific name I never looked it up, they were sold to me as jurapari. I think they are both male from looking at other's pics. They are both a good 5" SL.

Definitely NOT Jurupari.

Satanoperca Daemon are the type you have. If you payed the price for a Jurupari then I would say you got a good deal since Daemon tend to run a little more.

Well that just goes hand in hand with my lfs I once thought was great is now only good. This is not the first mislabeling fish tag I have seen there, but the first for me personally. They do flash their black vertical bars a lot and that made me think jurupari along with the very red/blue caduals and anal fins, they also have a lot of blue spangling on their dorsals and on their trailers.
