I wanna get one but can't right now sadly. Short on space and short on funds. Nice fish though. Yours looks like it has a nice tail with some nice fin extensions already.

Yes. His tail does have some nice long extensions on it. Just hope they turn really Red with time. Right now they are a little washed out from the stress of shipping in Nebraska with 20 degree temps.

Nice pickup! I just picked up a 3" L24 and a 4" L25.. they both picked on my 3" L25 and it died recently.. what size tank are you keeping him in? I only have them in a 40b for now..
 
I had a small 2.5 L114 in my 135 gallon with all my other pleco's minus the L25's and he was fine till someone finally caught him cause I saw him all beat up and it died that same night. Was kinda sad to lose it since it was looking nice and was healthy but got cornered I guess. It happen's. Next time I would try keeping it with it's own size with way more hiding spots.

Wow that is ample space you got there. Unfortunately I sold my 300g acrylic, 180g's, 125's, and 240g. Now I had to force myself to downgrade due to financial problems T_T
Hoping I'll be able to upgrade for my pseudas eventually.. how fast do pseudas really grow? I've heard many different stories but can't figure out their true growth rate.

that sucks! sorry to hear. How much was he? I've mixed (10) L114 1.5" in a 30g and they had no hiding spots, nor did they fight to the death. I guess it just really depends on how many are in there.. rather than only having 3 in 1 tank. The L25 i lost recently was $200.... so sad T_T
 
Mine have been growing slow for the most part. Mine was attacked pretty good who ever got it had a mouth as big as the fish itself. Could see it's outline on the body. My small L114 had costed me like $30 I think. Bought it sometime early this year or late last year I didn't pay much. Price didn't worry me just the fact that someone caught it and killed it was depressing. It had a nice looking tail.
