unfortunately, he killed her 2 days after i took the fry's out... killed majority of them through my inexperienced, but i have a few survive

Nice fishes darthodo, I'm still waiting on a male Red Mota.
hehe that's why I love big cichlids, funnest part would be trying to get something out of their tanks, one hand holding a net to keep them at bay while other trying to grab whatever
Mines pretty good too, only thing he does is lightly push away the synodontis if it gets too close. I might try to add more fishes in the future.
Too bad about the female.
It's always risky when taking out fry from a breeding pair, I usually leave a few to keep the pair bonds.

I used to have a 10"+ male that was just perfect, it took best cichlid in show when I showed him at the local show here. Too bad my bro killed him along with a 12" male Umbee while I was out of town
