2 800W 10" subs, with a 1700W amp and cap, all JL components and 6X9's hooked up to a 450W 4channel JL amp. 2 800W subs in a hatchback, thats an earthquake, its TOOO loud if thats possible
im in on that sound-off, wait till i get my W6's first tho... i forget what kind of subs i have.... volhagen or something like that. I got them off a guy for 100 bucks, i am just using these subs until i get some other things done on my car to free up cash for some nice JL's then my system in my car currently goes in my ol ladys Alero
I miss my old set ups too poor now for more stereos... in my 94 flairside f150 4x4 I had eclipse 8051 8volt head unit running to 3 pheonix gold tantrum amps 2 600.4 and 1 1200.1... 1 600.4 ran my Mb quart mids and high the other ran more components and 4 8" mid bass drivers... the 1200.1 powered many subs 18'' jlw6 multiple eclipse subs from 8 10inch 8810s too alumin eclipse 12s x4(2nd fav set up) my favorite sub line up was my kicker wall... 3 solobaricL7 12s and 3 round comps 10inch... I'm a heavy metal guy the impact from the 12s and the speed from the 10s was a perfect combo... god if I could go back 5 years and kill that crack head before he totaled my baby I would....

Thats why i went with 10's as well, altho the 10/12 combo would be friggin amazing!
Nice sound systems. At least it sounds like you guys are in to quality not just that sloppy bass like most people.
my next system is designed all diamond and hertz with denon head unit just no funds right now..... the 8 10s hit extremally hard they were the cheapest subs eclipse puts out... the surface area and speed of them was amazing..I recommend that kinda set up for a budget build surface area and decent power can hit as hard as expensive subs....
I am deffinatly into clean bass. No two ways about that. If it doesn't hit every note in a heavy metal double bass line its not worth it. If you put some decent money into a system then its not worth being able to only listen to rap... I listen to country, metal, rock, punk, rap, r&b, just about everything so my system has to be flexable. I am thinking I am gunna go with 4 10" kicker comps for my next one. I really want to find the old models though. I am not a huge fan of the new kickers. The old ones are the only way to go. If I can't get them then I am gunna go with jl w1 I think...They hit super tight!
