I saw your video earlier today. I’ve never kept Cincelichthys bocourti before, what is their growth rate like? Temperament? Especially compared to the slowest growing fish in the universe the Oscura heterospila(two years in and 6/10 of mine are just about 6”).
IME C. bocourti growth rate is moderate.. definitely faster than O. heterospila, but I got a V. maculicauda pair around the same time (both pairs from
Kevin@TUIC
) that have grown more. I'd guess they've grown maybe 3.5" in the last 8 months.. I don't power feed but I do 75% WC every 4-5 days.Temperament, again ime, peaceful (soft). Occasionally gets chased off by the Male T. maculipinnis (killer). There was some conspecific aggression when I had the pair, to the point I rehomed 1 (unsure sex but presume the female was getting pressured).
I like them.. Just wish I had a big enough tank to house a group..
