Lets see your best loach picture!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Need to get me a DSLR. Nice looking photo OP. It only gets better once you get the hang of it from what I've seen here.

I love your set up Alex! I've been jealous of your tank ever since I saw the first pics of you swimming in it. One day.... :)

Your loaches look fairly sizeable with great color! Nice work!

Thanks Spencer. I just got rid of a really aggressive 8' loach, so now I'm down to a dozen of them between 4" and 9". I don't think I'll ever have a tank without CLs.

I really like the look of your tank. Your loaches look awesome and that Synspilum...she's a beauty. I'm considering getting one...how aggressive are they? (sorry for the derail)

An old photo, but the best one that I have. :)

She might be on her way out (the Syn). Mine was/is really aggressive but was overthrown as tank boss by the larger Bifa after they spawned and failed a couple months ago. She still tries to get with the large Bifa but gets the tar beat out of her. She's really stubborn and won't back down. Quite aggressive in my experience, but many have said they aren't that bad. I think all Vieja-ish species are pretty much the same in terms of aggression, but vary from fish to fish.

Thanks Spencer. I just got a few of my old loaches back from a buddy, and he tossed in a m/f pair of Channa pleurophthalma that weren't working out in his comm tank. A Kalimantan biotope tank for Xmas. :)

You'll have to take a few new pictures then I think :)

Well as luck would have it my Kalimantan buddy stopped by & took a few photos today. Just to keep this on topic I'll start off with a pic of the smallest loach in my group. lol

Clowns are looking great as always Psylant. Beautiful setup. Wish i could get mine to look that gd with the lights on, they grey out quite a bit. Need to fix this so the colors look bold like yours

I wish I knew what makes their colors so bold...
Very nice dark orange and black loaches and those monsters :WHOA:
