My two gators and FL in a hospital 120 gal tall tank (5'x1.5' footprint) about 4 years ago. All three at about 2.5'.

None with me anymore. The gators (rescued fish from upstate NY that I brought with me to FL) grew to 3' and got stuck at that size. FL gar was fished out by an eagle from my pond I surmised. Gators I killed by a miscalculated medication dose. about 2 years ago.

I've kept all 7 gar species (plus several hybrids) and Bowfin, but this was the biggest I've personally encountered - fishing trip last September

my gator is still small. he's only about 3 foot in a 400 gallon pool.

reptilerancher what did you use to house it in ? is it a livestock tub with a liner?

I had him in a 150 gallon aquarium until he was 24 then moved him into a 110 stock tank because of the larger foot print and thats a Bestway Rectangular pool (94" 59" x 23”) with a pond liner. It may not look great but it works and it was cheap.
