Wow! I just saw a second Nissan GT-R. I went from never seeing them before to seeing two now in two weeks. This one was at a car show.

Note: This picture is not an actual one I saw...I just got this off the internet.

It still is a skyline. just everyone refers to it as the GTR! but to me. looks nothing like a GTR. 350z face with some what of a GTR rear
But it does not carry a Skyline badge which is what I don't understand. The car has a cult following here and when Nissan finally brings it to the states they give it another name.I'm sure there has to be a reason behind it all but I have never heard it.

.....okay,so I've looked up the Skyline and GT-R and its still a little confusing to me with all the different names that are tied in and used in different countries. One source I read suggested that before the GTR was brought over to the states the Infiniti G37 was basically a Skyline....Whatever the case is the GT-R is an awesome car and easily one that would be in my stable if I was well off enough.

I didn't realize the GT-R was a $100,000 car. I was thinking about $50-60,000
I think the first year it started here it was about 70 or 80 grand but the current model is a little over 100.

Every GTR I've ever seen just sat around got polished. Just once I'd like to see what the hype is about :/

The hype is it's lineage...that's part of it anyway. The GT-R looks like a beefed up 350Z,thats the impression I got when I stood next beside one but I'd take it over the LFA.
