I have tried to help my friend with his truck but he is to much of a perfectionist and ends up redoing it by himself anyways. Hey that's the way you get tho when you build one off cars for a living tho.

That is a nice setup and looks like it didn't fit to bad. Was it a little tight on the fire wall? I love the patina look but draw the line at holes and being half rust
Nice I really like seeing people keeping vehical in the family alot of people don't understand the meaning of sentimental value these days.

Appreciate the kind words. Not everyones cup of tea but this has a rich story and value to me and my family. And it's just cool. The patina thing goes way too far often IMO. But as with any fad there are folks on the far end of the spectrum. Wait till you see what I do with the AC. It's a factory AC truck. Going to be epic

There's a solid 1.5" room left on the firewall LOL! Plenty

Was it an originally a 283 or 327 truck?

Does it have the vents on the dash and all the under hood parts still?

I do not know what the original engine was. I suppose I could decode the VIN but I've never seen the original engine. My dad had a tired 305 and the original sm465 in it.

I have every... last... screw... of the AC components. The dash panel is worth more the the whole truck haha

Most likely a 283 being 2wd.That would make alot of people want that truck just because of the a.c. being intact for the most part. Are you going to try to reuse it with the a.c. from the l.s. motor? I would be

Well I'm a bit conflicted there to be honest. I want to retain the AC being as it is so rare and only original once. Having said that the chemical to charge it costs more than a brand new vintage air setup all together and functioning parts are stupid expensive.

There is a local guy who is confident we can build a hybrid and run it off a stock LS compressor. In the design phase of that now but haven't made up my mind
