my guess is he is a tournament angler so the answer is yes. They may also look the same but are built for different tecniques. One maybe for cranks and the other for jigs.

bought a Abu 1500c, for it to, old school, but to be honest it can throw a Siglet further and more accurate than my steez or revo stx.
the stx sits on a Loomis CBR803DF nowadays.
