RIP Jordan 11-30-00 to 7-8-10

I was wondering why this 3 year old thread was back up. Sorry to see that this is why. He was beautiful. :(

Here are my two girls

here is my german shepherd, Ares, that we gave away to a security firm so they could train him to give him focus for his hyper aggression plus his allergies were getting too much.

And here is our current dog, Nero, a chocolate labrador. The complete opposite to Ares. Couldnt ask for a dafter and more gentle dog.

Ares was quite young in that pic, not even a year i dont think. when we had him there was talk of euthanising if the vet couldnt get his allergy under control because it was unfair on him to suffer.
we were given a phone number, however, we are too frightened to phone them just in case he has been euthanised. with this i prefer to live in complete ignorance than run the risk of finding out he is gone. The guy on the phone did say they would get him fixed properly regarding his allergies and he was amazing at putting us at ease with handing him over. His favourite game was the companies training game as well.
We did a lot of investigating on the company and they were recommended by the german shepherd rescue organisation as it is where they put the aggressive rescues/hand-ins so their aggression can be put to use rather than them maul a child by being kept in a regular household.

I like to think we did the responsible thing and the right thing for Ares by letting people with far more resources get him well and channel his aggression. It still makes me well up looking at his pictures nearly 4 years on, 4 years in Oct since we gave him away.

beautiful dogs everyone.

you definitly did the right thing for him.. we have no way of knowing what the future holds.. but one thing ...not to sound negative is to think positive about him... why think any other way...
